You know the old saying, "practice makes perfect"? As cliche as it sounds, nothing could be more true when it comes to furthering your knowledge and improving your skills. You learn as you go - figuring out what you like and don't like in terms of editing your photos. This how one finds their style, and how they want to be represented through their work; since art is subjective.
Pictured on the right is a comparison of two similar images, only taken a year apart. Same horse, same pose. Different lighting conditions and a different approach to editing. By this time I had pretty well perfected my style of editing for Black Backgrounds. The photo on the right was taken in 2018, while the photo on the left was taken in 2019.
